Yes. A voice cloned from Hindi speech also speaks English, Tamil, Bengali and every other language Chariot speaks, and it stays the same voice, as Aditi does above. The sample can be in any language.

Where can I use a cloned voice?
Everywhere Chariot's own voices work. Pick it in text to speech in the web app, cast it in Chariot Studio, or call it through the API with its voice ID, streaming and voice agents included.
What happens to my voices if I change plans?
Each plan includes a number of cloned voices. Move to a plan with fewer and you choose which voices stay active; the rest pause. Nothing is deleted: their audio and voice IDs stay, and upgrading brings them back. On the Free plan, every cloned voice pauses.

How long does the voice sample need to be?
Between 10 and 60 seconds of speech, in any language. Around 30 seconds works best. Record it in the browser, or upload a WAV, FLAC, MP3 or M4A file of up to 20 MB.
How long does cloning take?
About 20 seconds after you upload the sample or finish recording.
Which languages does a cloned voice speak?
Every language Chariot speaks, whatever language the sample was in: Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, English and the rest, in the same voice.
Can I clone someone else's voice?
Only with their permission. You confirm that you have the rights and consent before a voice is cloned, and you must be able to show that consent. Cloning a celebrity, a public figure or anyone else without their authorisation is against Chariot's Terms of Service.
Can I use a cloned voice through the API?
Yes. A cloned voice has a voice ID like any other Chariot voice, so it works in the API, streaming and voice agents included, as well as in the web app and Studio.
Is voice cloning free?
